Teamwork

IMG_5309

It’s been feeling like a lot of this lately. We drew mental pictures for eachother the other night, Nate and I. Did you know stick figures can be such helpful relationship tools? I’ve been bewildered as to why my people would rather sit in the road and cry instead of choosing adventure. And it’s exhausting. Nate’s been bewildered as to why not one of the rest of us care about doing what needs to be done around here. And it’s exhausting. We live in extremes in our heads, don’t we? While these are both very true feelings for us, the life truth probably lies somewhere in the middle. There is no platform for who is right, because in both pictures we are on our own and we’re tired.

There is only opportunities for tenderness. Whether we feel alone at the front or left behind as the caboose, there is a step backward and a step forward, and remembering we are on one team. There is believing the best in eachother.
